Christi and Michael planned their wedding during the craziness that was 2020. They knew they wanted to celebrate their love, but safely. It was important to them to keep everyone safe and comfortable while also allowing their closest friends and family to share in their joy. It was decided to have the wedding at their home church of St. Ignatius in south central Austin. Then the reception would follow outdoors at the bride’s father’s ranch north of town.
Christi called her style rustic chic. She liked the farm style design, but with class. We incorporated wood farm tables and then did greenery garlands on all but the head table. The head table we incorporated fall florals to bring in color. In addition, we included copper votive candles, colored water goblets, and coordinating napkins. The hints of color were used to compliment, but not overshadow the simple elegance of the wooden tables and natural beauty. Favors were hand sanitizers that were personalized with the bride and groom’s names.
When we first started working together Christi and Michael said they wanted their friends and family to leave the wedding feeling like they had a great day. A day visiting with one another, eating good food, listening to fun music, and dancing (social distance dancing). I believe they definitely accomplished that! We wish them both all the love and happiness in their marriage together. It was our pleasure working with this amazing couple.
